Food information
China Food: What Locals Order is an informational guide for recognizing dishes and asking for them in Chinese. It does not list restaurants or branches, sell food, take orders, process payments, or guarantee current availability, ingredients, or allergen safety. Confirm important details with the restaurant before ordering.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-01
China Food: What Locals Order does not require an account and does not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or precise location. The developer does not collect app activity for profiling or cross-app advertising.
Data on your device
Saved dish identifiers and available offline content, the last valid signed snapshot and its rollback, a bounded image cache, and a local entitlement cache stay on your device. The app does not request precise location or send contacts, photos, or device identifiers to the developer.
Derived content snapshots
To show current food guidance, the app may download a bounded, signed, derived snapshot. These snapshots contain only the dish name, explanation, Chinese name and pinyin, taste, texture, spice, dietary and allergen uncertainty, likely restaurant type, Chinese search term, order phrase, image references, freshness, cautions, and explicit unknowns needed by the app.
Raw posts, comments, handles, source URLs, screenshots, media, cookies, credentials, private identifiers, and prompt or response bodies never enter the app, repository, VPS, or customer-facing snapshot. Permissioned operator research remains separate from customer data and is never joined to app use.
Purchases and outside services
If the app later offers an optional purchase, Apple would process it through StoreKit under Apple’s terms. The developer would not receive your payment-card details. Browsers, restaurants, and other services you choose outside the app have their own privacy practices.
